The Studios
Built for Contemporary Practice
LANTANA Space offers six flexible-use studios for artists working across disciplines. Paint, sound, clay, text, movement — or work that doesn’t fit neatly in a box — there’s space for it here.
Our studios are made for process: for testing ideas, reworking them, scrapping them and starting again. We prioritise experimentation over outcomes, and foster a culture of critical thinking, care and creative authenticity.
We’re artist-first and anti-pretence. As a studio artist, you’ll contribute to a living, evolving space shaped by the people who use it.
Make work, Show work
As a Studio Artist, you’ll have valuable opportunities to present your work publicly. After six months with us, you’re eligible for one free exhibition each year. You’ll also be included in our annual group exhibition +Plus1.
Run Public Programs
Monetise your practice by hosting workshops, events or public programs in our shared multipurpose space. This flexible area offers the opportunity to build your profile and engage with the community (only if you want to).

LANTANA Space is located at 15 Allan Street, in the industrial precinct of Moffat Beach. Just a few blocks from the ocean, the warehouse sits among local small businesses, good coffee, and the gritty, oil-streaked streets of light industry.
It’s not polished. It’s not curated. It’s ideal for focused, messy creative work, close enough to town, far enough from distraction.
