First Nations Creative Space

What to Expect

The First Nations Creative Space is a place for Mob to come together, create, yarn and connect.

It’s a fully subsidised studio open to First Nations creatives to work on projects, learn new skills or just spend time making alongside other artists.

Open Fridays from 9am – 2pm, or by appointment

Supported by the Sunshine Coast Council’s Arts & Heritage Levy, the studio is free for Mob to use. The studio supports artists working across all kinds of mediums and also creates opportunities to share and showcase new work.

Artists are also invited to share ideas that will help shape the Sunshine Coast Council’s First Nations creative programs, making sure it reflects the voices and needs of artists in the community.

The space is coordinated by Rennee Mead, who’s the main contact for artists wanting to get involved.

❋ Intentional Structure

We blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.

❋ Collaborative Energy

Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.

❋ Expert Facilitation

Led by experienced guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.

❋ A Supportive Space

Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.
