About the artist

Daniele Avanzini is an Italian-Australian visual artist working across painting, drawing, and mixed media. His practice explores memory, identity, and the subconscious, grounded in classical techniques and informed by a contemporary, process-led approach.

Born in Milan and raised between Italy and the United States, he trained in Italy before refining his practice in London and relocating to Australia in 2011. His work spans painting, sculpture, and mural projects, contributing to a broad and technically developed practice.

Avanzini has exhibited across Italy and Australia, with works held in private collections internationally. Alongside his studio practice, he brings a strong focus on material understanding, observational drawing, and practical skill-building.

His teaching is clear, structured, and accessible, designed to help participants quickly build confidence and develop a solid foundation in drawing.
